Multi-Campus Church Invites Families to Summer Bible Program Exploring How Jesus Illuminates the World

KANSAS CITY METRO AREA — May 2026 – Christ Community Church, a multi-campus church throughout the Kansas City metro area, announces registration is now open for Vacation Bible School 2026: Illumination Station. The summer program will be hosted at all five campuses with dates and times customized to each location, welcoming children from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Kids will play their way through fun-filled days learning how light reveals who Jesus truly is. This summer, families are invited to slow down and discover how Jesus illuminates our world every day through interactive activities, worship, and age-appropriate biblical teaching.

“We desire to be a caring family of multiplying disciples, influencing our community and world for Jesus Christ,” said Lead Senior Pastor Gabe Coyle. “Illumination Station VBS is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience God’s love in a fun, engaging environment while building lasting friendships.”

VBS Schedule by Campus

Brookside Campus and Downtown Campus: VBS will take place June 15–18 from 6:00–8:00 PM for children in kindergarten through 5th grade (school year 2026–2027). The Brookside Campus (400 W 67th Street, Kansas City, MO 64113) is hosting this combined VBS week. Registration is available at www.cckc.church/childrens-ministries.

Leawood Campus: VBS will be held June 22–26 from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM for children entering 1st through 5th grade (school year 2026–2027). The registration deadline for campers and volunteers is June 1. Olathe Campus: VBS will take place June 1–4 from 6:00–8:30 PM for children ages 4 (by September 1) through 5th grade (school year 2026–2027). The Olathe Campus is located at 20600 W 119th Street, Olathe, KS 66061. Registration is available at www.cckc.church/childrens-ministries.

Shawnee Campus: VBS will be held June 8–11 from 6:00–8:00 PM for children ages 5 through 5th grade (school year 2026–2027). The Shawnee Campus is located at 13330 W 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, KS 66216. Register at www.cckc.church/childrens-ministries.

Adults, middle school, and high school students interested in serving as volunteers are encouraged to register online. Childcare for children ages 5 years and under is available for children of volunteers at select campuses, and dinner is served for volunteers and their families at evening VBS sessions.
